Situata nella costa NW della Sicilia all’interno del golfo di Castellammare San Cataldo si presenta come un’ampia baia contornata da un lunghissimo litorale sabbioso molto affollato d’estate. E’ possibile dar fondo all’ancora a circa 150 m dalla spiaggia, facendo attenzione agli scogli affioranti presenti ai piedi della parete rocciosa che orla la costa E della baia.
