Description
The Port of Civitavecchia is protected to W and to S from the long front wall Colombo, from the front wall Traiano and from the front wall Umberto I. It is possible to access via a channel wide around 170 m that follows the trend of the front wall. The landing consists of 2 smaller docks, an outer formed by 5 pontoons that depart from the cemented quay oriented to W, and a more inner formed by two moles oriented to NE.

Access mode to the landing-place
- The entrance opens between the header of NW of commercial wharf, declared by the light red, and the head of the front wall, declared by the light green.
- Cross the access with route SE, go along the access channel while remaining at the centreline.
- At night to locate the middle point on an intense yellow light located on a light tower of the pier of Bicchiere.
- Moor at the assigned place according to the indications of the local staff.
- To reach the dock Romana, go up at the bottom of the harbour basin and access to the dock Traiana, which opens between the heads of the quay Compagnia Roma and the Quay Guglielmotti.
- Enter the dock with route ENE and directing at the end of NE of the dock Traiana, from where it is possible to access to the dock Romana.
- Cross the access with route SE, go along the access channel while remaining at the centreline.
