Description
Nerone was born in Anzio, that’s why the emperor built there a port and a villa, from where he watched the city of Rome burning.
The archeological area extends itself along the coast of Anzio from the Capo d’Anzio for more than 800 m to the west until Capo dell’Arco Muto. It includes: the library, thermal baths, area of the lighthouse, the ancient Roman theater with a diameter of 30 m and the imperial villa overlooking the sea.

How to get there: There are no safe anchorages in the nearby, therefore it’s suggested to dock at the port of Anzio just 0,7 NM at E of the place.
