Marine park description
The protected marine area of shoal Peterno Tor is located off the coast of Castel Fusano. It is constituted by a rocky formation, covered by plant and animal organisms. It is a real island under the sea whose depth part from 18 m below the sea level. The area is declared its vertices by 4 buoys.

General reserve zone
The marine protected area consists in a single general reserve zone situated about 4.5 nm to W of Torvaianica.
Prohibitions summary: - underwater fishing - anchor, navigation and mooring to floating structures without authorization.
Allowed activities: - access to service vessels - access to fishing vessels authorised - mooring to floating structures with authorisation - underwater activities compatible with the protection of marine species - levy of organisms or minerals for study and with permission.
Prohibited activities: - hunting, capture, collection, corruption, alteration of the geophysical environment and biochemical - introduction of weapons or explosives - fishing without authorization - anchorage without authorization - mooring without authorization
